I'm not as convinced by '97's greatest--can't hold a candle to '91 or '88--or at least not yet. Once we start getting into the late 90s and early 00s of music, it will take a few more years to determine if the good albums from those years turn into classics.

But, this listing of great music by year is endlessly fun (and time consuming, thanks a lot).
